The United States of America have a lot of different associations that are related to various fields in Medicine. These associations generously offer scholarships, grants, and fellowships to students studying Medicine. Most of them offer these financial aid programs to students studying in the Medicine field. There are a lot of medical school scholarships being offered by general Medical associations.

Here are some of the medical associations that offer financial aid to students in need:

  • American Lung Association – this medical association has two award categories: Training Awards and the Independent Investigator Awards. Under the Training Awards, $21,000 to $32,500 per year can be granted for up to two years for pre-doctoral or post-doctoral studies, respectively. There are research area limitations that are to be considered for eligibility of application. For the Independent Investigator Awards, $40,000 per year up to two years is granted for eligible applicants.
  • American Dental Association Foundation – they offer awards, grants, and scholarships to students who want to become dentists. There are two awards available at the ADAF: The E. Bud Tarrson Access to Oral Health Care Award and the George C. Paffenbarger Student Research Award. The E. Bud Tarrson Access to Oral Health Care Award grants $5,000 to one dental student who helps out in communities in need. The George C. Paffenbarger Student Research Award on the other hand, is for students who are willing to do research in the field of contemporary operative dentistry.
  • Allied Dental Scholarships – these medical school scholarships offered to dental students that are underrepresented minority students.
  • ·         American Medical Association – this is where you can find lots of medical school scholarships. There are 5 scholarships available from this organization: The Minority Scholars Award, the Physicians of Tomorrow Scholarship, the Arthur N. Wilson, MD Scholarship and the Scholars Fund. Applications must be processed through the financial aid offices of medical schools. The amount of scholarship grants range from $5,000 to $10,000.
